Fast effective help for you & your dog

Do you want your dog back?

Remember that relaxed, happy, easy going pooch that was a pleasure to live with, and who lowered your stress levels rather than increased your blood pressure?

Sharing our lives with a dog should be pleasurable and relaxing, but sometimes it can feel like a never ending challenge!

Whether it’s the hot-faced embarrassment when your dog rushes off barking across the field, or the gut-wrench when your dog cowers and hides from thunder yet again – I know how it feels.

Obedience training and rigid rules haven’t helped. Following flashy videos that promised to solve the problem with just 3 minutes of training/day hasn’t worked, and asking ChatGPT was a total failure!

Why? Because behaviour comes from emotions, and cookie cutter solutions don’t address those underlying feelings.

  2. If I can help, you will be sent a link to the booking calendar and veterinary referral form.
  3. Before we meet, I’ll review your dog’s information, medical history and any videos you send over so we’re ready to start changing everyone’s behaviour.

We’ll spend around 2.5 hrs together to assess your dog in detail, making sure you understand WHY the problems are happening and WHAT needs to change.

“When I first contacted Morag, my dog was really struggling with reactivity towards other dogs and people. It was stressful for both of us, and I felt at a loss about how to help him.

Morag was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable from the very beginning. She took the time to understand my dog’s individual needs and put together a clear, practical plan that we could follow step by step. With her guidance, I quickly began to see positive changes. My dog is now calmer and more confident around other dogs and people.”

Why you’ll (probably) need more than one session

Behaviour problems like aggression, anxiety and reactivity are complex. They usually take months or even years to develop.

So the first assessment and consultation can’t provide you with a complete behaviour change plan, just like the first counselling session doesn’t resolve a long-standing psychological problem, and one physio assessment won’t ‘cure’ carpal tunnel syndrome.

The relationship reset session will:

  • help you understand the reasons behind your dog’s behaviour
  • give you tools to help everyone immediately feel safer and more relaxed
  • put you on the path to changing your dog’s behaviour

Then we can build the behaviour change package that’s tailored to the needs of your dog and your family.

Even with the best of intentions and plans, it’s easy to get blown off track or feel stuck – because life happens! I know that personalised ongoing support is the fastest and most effective way to create long-lasting change.

Sometimes that first session is all you need, and that’s wonderful! This isn’t about selling you a package if that’s not what you and your dog need.

Is this right for you & your dog?

You’re ready to start changing the relationship with your dog, and you want to enjoy the process.
You want to understand WHY your dog behaves the way they do, not just stop the behaviour.
You want longer-term support to create real change, not a one-session quick-fix.
You are open to rewarding your dog when they make good choices (using things that your dog values – and that might not always be food!).
You want to avoid or move away from using punishment, strict rules or correction collars – there’s no judgement here but we can find effective alternatives.

bertie

“After a horrible incident with another dog we waited to see if things would calm down again with Bertie but it felt like he was getting worse and all our hard work and been undone.  From the very first call with Morag I felt like a big weight had been lifted. Now, Bertie is much happier than he has ever been and far more relaxed now, even at home. It has made a huge difference to our daily walks and they are so much more enjoyable.”
